The South Central Trojans will square off against the New London Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. South Central has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
South Central will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Lucas on Thursday. The Trojans came out on top against the Cubs by a score of 15-11. With that win, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Zaida Myers, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Mayson Middaugh was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four stolen bases and two runs.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times New London and Monroeville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats came up short against the Eagles on Tuesday, falling 20-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Pailee Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Hailee Pylant, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
South Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for New London, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like New London struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
South Central took their win against New London in their previous meeting last Thursday by a conclusive 11-5 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
