Basketball Recap: Jordan Robinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Woodruff over Boiling Springs

If Woodruff was riding high fresh off their 68-23 takedown of High Point Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Woodruff Wolverines'2024 ended with a 46-32 loss against the Boiling Springs Bulldogs on Monday. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 41-35.

Woodruff's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Robinson, who posted eight points. Robinson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kara West, who scored five points.

Boiling Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Makenzie Kinard, who had 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Karina Tsisun, who put up five points in addition to 11 rebounds and four blocks.

Woodruff's record now sits at 11-3. As for Boiling Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Woodruff will take on Greenville H at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Boiling Springs, they will challenge Christ Church Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boiling Springs is facing Christ Church Episcopal at the right time seeing as Christ Church Episcopal is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
