The Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 40-34 W over La Salette Academy. Winning is a bit easier when you make five more threes than your opponent, as Arthur-Okaw Christian did.
James Lee was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyson Pflum, who scored 11 points.
Despite the defeat, La Salette Academy had strong showings from Eamon Martin, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Charles Prather, who scored ten points along with three steals. Martin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.
Arthur-Okaw Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for La Salette Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.
Arthur-Okaw Christian will take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenview is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for La Salette Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Brownsburg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in their respective states (the Bulldogs are ranked 30th in Indiana, while the Lions are ranked 397th in Illinois).
