The McKenzie Eagles had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Glendale by a score of 44-36 on Saturday. The victory was just what McKenzie needed coming off of a 60-32 defeat in their prior match.
Griffin Withalm was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Aytan Brown was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 10 rebounds.
McKenzie's victory bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Glendale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKenzie will face off against Yoncalla at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glendale, they will head out on the road to face off against Glide at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
