The Affton Cougars won the last time they faced the Hancock Tigers, and things went their way on Monday too. Affton blew past the Tigers 43-21. The squad ran away with 31 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Amelia Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Affton's points. Anna M daughtry was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Affton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Hancock, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Affton's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. Hazelwood East is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Hancock, they will head out on the road to challenge the Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Windsor has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
