Lake Creek has gone a perfect 4-0 against Brenham recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lake Creek Lions will take on the Brenham Cubs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lake Creek faced off against College Station on Friday. Lake Creek's defense stepped up to hand College Station an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight matchups by seven goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brenham). They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Rudder on Friday. The Cubs have beaten the Rangers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rangers has come to flipping the script.

The win (which was Lake Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 9-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Brenham, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-6.

Lake Creek took their win against Brenham when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Creek since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
