The Napoleon Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Ross Little Giants at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Napoleon is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Wauseon with a sharp 17-4 win on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Napoleon got a massive performance out of Mason Trausch, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five RBI and one run. Those five RBI gave Trausch a new career-high. Owen Espinoza was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Ross had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with an 8-1 victory.
Robert Rich Jr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Karson Kayden looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Durnwald, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Eastham, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Ross' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Napoleon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Napoleon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ross struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Napoleon skirted past Ross 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Little Giants turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
