Glenbard East waltzed into their match on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Metea Valley Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Glenbard East pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Metea Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 20 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season.
