Lincoln has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Pell City Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Wednesday, Lincoln came up short against White Plains and fell 57-49.
Pell City has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 28 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Monday with ease, bagging a 46-13 win over Spain Park. Given Pell City's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Spain Park is ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Heaven O'Neal, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Iyana Allen was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Pell City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Lincoln took a serious blow against Pell City in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, falling 72-34. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
