Basketball Recap: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Coolidge came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, but Ben Lambe wouldn't allow it. The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions managed a 63-58 victory over the Coolidge Bears on Saturday thanks in part to Lambe, who shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Coolidge lost, don't look at Preston Dees. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Dees' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jensen Carter, who posted eight points.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Coolidge, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will face off against Tanque Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tanque Verde knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Pusch Ridge Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Coolidge, they will challenge Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Coolidge surely won't give up without a fight.
