Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Trinity Celtics, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Medicine Lodge by a score of 17-14. Trinity lost against Medicine Lodge in their previous head to head back in October, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 16-14 score last time.
Leading Medicine Lodge to victory were Derrek Randels and Keveon Ruiz. Randels picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Ruiz threw for 218 yards and a touchdown.
Trinity has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Medicine Lodge, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Medicine Lodge will face off against Valley Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Heights is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
