The Mountain View Mountain Lions pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-60 to Frederick. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (59), Mountain View still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Mountain View still got an impressive performance from Bradey Messinger, who scored 25 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Messinger has scored all season. Dylan Garland was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Jovan Aldana continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Frederick, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Aldana hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ollie Justice, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Frederick, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Mountain View and Severance will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Frederick, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Morgan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Morgan comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
