 Ellie Tucker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing five bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Carly Loper was a standout: she got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Libbie Davis, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 West Branch  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 13  hits in three consecutive  contests.
West Branch's record is now 6-2. As for St. Joseph Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-5.
 Looking ahead, West Branch will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbiana  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Clippers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will venture away from home to  square off against Shaker Heights  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Red Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.33  runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
