Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Evangel Christian Academy Lions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 44-20 walloping at the hands of Cornerstone Christian on Thursday. Zeke Adams was a one-man wrecking crew for Cornerstone Christian as he rushed for 261 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes. Noah Schober also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Evangel Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
Evangel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cornerstone Christian is on the road again on Thursday and play against Springwood. Springwood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
