It was a good run, but The Steilacoom Sentinels unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Orting on the road and fell 44-14. Steilacoom was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Orting apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Orting got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson McCall out in front who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 89 receiving yards. Jace Lowdermilk was in the mix too, providing Orting with two touchdowns.
Steilacoom's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Orting, the victory was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steilacoom will take on Fife at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fife is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Orting, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clover Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clover Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Orting is ranked 85th).
