In what's become a running theme this season, the Cushing Bearkats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. Everything went their way against Overton as Cushing made off with a 52-32 victory. The win was nothing new for Cushing as they're now sitting on five straight.
Defeat or not, Overton got some senior leadership from Kayla Nobles and Catherine Delane. Nobles scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Delane. scored five points along with eight rebounds. Nobles hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Cushing is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Overton, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
Cushing will head out on the road to take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass is on a six-game streak of home wins, the Bearkats a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Overton will take on the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
