Two dominant  backs in  Dace O?Bagy and  David Keel are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Uintah Utes will square off against the Payson Lions at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
 Uintah is probably headed into the  match with a chip on their shoulder considering Provo just ended the team's  three-game winning streak  on Thursday. They had to suffer through a   63-27 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Utes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  49-21.
 Meanwhile, Payson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss. They came up short against  Spanish Fork, falling  52-27. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings  (they are ranked 85th, while the Dons are ranked 20th).
 Payson might have lost, but man,  Trevyn Wall was a machine:  he threw for 472 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. Wall is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.  Seth Staley also helped out as he racked up 171 receiving yards.
 Uintah's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Payson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
 Uintah came up short against Payson in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023, falling  17-12. Can Uintah avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
