Softball Recap: Wake Forest Wins Going Away Against East Wake

Wake Forest won the last time they faced East Wake and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Warriors. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Wake Forest got a great performance from Hailey Cabrera as she struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Teagan Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Bowers, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Wake Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Wake Forest's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for East Wake, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

As of now, neither Wake Forest nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
