Boca Raton put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They breezed by Seminole Ridge at home to the tune of 69-26. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-12.
Boynton Beach suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2023 on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 72-52 defeat at the hands of Inlet Grove. While losing is never fun, Boynton Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 604th, while Inlet Grove is ranked 287th).
Boca Raton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Boynton Beach, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Boca Raton came up short against Boynton Beach in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 70-57. Can Boca Raton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
