The Cavaliers were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Raiders' pitcher proved too tough.

Meanwhile, John Carroll beat Severna Park 9-4 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Emily Hildt spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Juli Aragon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Kallissa Coats was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Archbishop Spalding hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like John Carroll struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Archbishop Spalding came out on top in a nail-biter against John Carroll in their previous meeting on April 2nd, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Cavaliers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
