Amelia Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Troy Hill, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Barbour, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Amelia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brunswick Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amelia Academy will challenge Fuqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fuqua is on a five-game streak of home losses, Amelia Academy a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Brunswick Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Tidewater Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tidewater Academy aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since December 15, 2023.
