The Medina Bobcats lost against KIPP University Prep back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Medina was outmatched by KIPP University Prep at home and fell 75-35.
KIPP University Prep was led to victory by Shamar Byars and Sergio Murillo . Byars scored 19 points, while Murillo dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Murillo 's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Domingo Hernandez , who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Medina now has a losing record at 1-2. As for KIPP University Prep, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medina will be home for the holidays to greet La Pryor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. La Pryor comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for KIPP University Prep, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Varsity Opponent is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
