A Season-Best Effort from Ryan Remigio Jr Leads Del Norte over Mt. Carmel
Del Norte was led to victory by Ryan Remigio Jr, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Remigio Jr rushed for 229 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Del Norte's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Remigio Jr and Del Norte will face off against Ramona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Atticus Enriquez Dazzles in Mt. Carmel Loss
Mt. Carmel had to settle for second on Friday, but Atticus Enriquez sure wasn't going down easily. Enriquez turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Mt. Carmel's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. Enriquez and Mt. Carmel will take on Fallbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Riley Valecruz Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Sadly, Riley Valecruz posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Mt. Carmel over Del Norte on Friday. Valecruz picked up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Valecruz is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Fallbrook on Friday. Valecruz picked up 162 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Kreet Makihele Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Kreet Makihele of San Marcos. Makihele threw for 177 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Makihele could be in store for another big game when he takes on Rancho Bernardo on Friday. Makihele threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt the last time he and the Broncos duked it out back in October of 2023.
