Softball Recap: Clay Has No Trouble Against Ross

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Perrysburg, Clay was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Ross Little Giants. Considering the Eagles have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Clay has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Ross, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Looking ahead, Clay will welcome Start at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ross, they will take on Southview at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.21 runs per game on average), something the Little Giants will no doubt try to take advantage of.
