Leading Green Valley to victory were Jazmine Ramirez and Gianessa Vazquez. Ramirez scored 17 points along with seven steals, while Vazquez scored 20 points along with four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Vazquez has scored at least 25% of Green Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Willey, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
Green Valley's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
