Make it eight blowout wins for the Bartlett Panthers this season. They blew past Germantown, posting a 59-21 win at home. Given Bartlett's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Germantown is ranked 243rd), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carrington Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Sheffield, who scored eight points.
Bartlett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Germantown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartlett will take on Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Houston is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Germantown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwind at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Southwind focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday.
