Spring is 8-2 against Dekaney since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Spring Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dekaney Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Spring focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Spring came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against MacArthur by a score of 66-55. Given Spring's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while MacArthur is ranked 1003rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tadarius Wade went supernova for Spring, scoring 16 points. Wade is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Bryce Archie was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Dekaney unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Benjamin Davis.
The victory got Spring back to even at 16-16. As for Dekaney, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-17.
