Baseball Recap: Wiley Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Wiley faced off against McClave on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 12-3 to the Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 29, 2025.

Grant Mauch made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and earned two runs and two stolen bases. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Dixie Bitner also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Wiley's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for McClave, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Wiley by a score of 22-2 later that day.
