West Milford is 1-9 against Lakeland Regional since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The West Milford Highlanders will head out on the road to take on the Lakeland Regional Lancers at 4:00 p.m.
After a string of three wins, West Milford's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 44-37 to Kennedy.
Despite the loss, West Milford got a solid performance out of Avery Vacca, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Laurel Space, who scored three points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Lakeland Regional strolled past Bergen Tech with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 40-23.
West Milford's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Lakeland Regional, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
West Milford came up short against Lakeland Regional in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 50-40. Can West Milford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
