The victory was a breath of fresh air for Tome as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Tome's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Spencer Cain, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Cain has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Ethan Griffith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
When it comes to explaining why Providence Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryce Unruh. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with nine assists and seven steals. That was a full 37.1% of Providence Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Providence Christian Academy on the road again on Thursday and play against Perry Hall Christian at 4:45 p.m. on January 25th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kaheem Griffin and Unruh.
