ASU Prep Poly's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashton Turner led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Welcome, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Phoenix College Prep bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for ASU Prep Poly, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phoenix College Prep will take on Adobe Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adobe Mountain presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Phoenix College Prep in Arizona (Adobe Mountain is ranked 139th, while Phoenix College Prep is ranked 315th). As for ASU Prep Poly, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sequoia Charter at 6:00 p.m.
