The Flora Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 43-32 to Wayne City. Flora was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wayne City apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.
It was another big night for Greenlea Vaughan, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Wayne City. Another player making a difference was Kallee Seymour, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Flora bumped their record down to 4-18 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Wayne City, their victory bumped their record up to 4-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flora will take on Christ Our Rock Lutheran at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wayne City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
