Basketball Recap: Alto Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grapeland, Alto was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Cushing Bearkats with a sharp 74-50 win. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alto's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Cushing, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alto will take on Troup in a tournament on December 27th. Cushing will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Slocum at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th.
