The Saguaro Sabercats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Seton Catholic at home by a decisive 69-52 margin. Saguaro lost against Seton Catholic in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-44 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Saguaro lost, one person who can't be blamed is Erica McGadney. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. McGadney is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Marley Jackson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Saguaro's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7. As for Seton Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.
Saguaro will head out on the road to face off against Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seton Catholic, they will be playing at home against Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
