The Cambridge Bobcats will challenge the Philo Electrics at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cambridge's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Philo's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Cambridge lost a heartbreaker the last time they played John Glenn, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Muskies on Wednesday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Mason Gregg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Gregg was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Garrett Carpenter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Griffin McIntire was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Cambridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Philo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Indian Valley on Tuesday.
Wyatt Tysinger and KJ Philip did most of the damage at the plate: Tysinger went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Philip went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Tysinger has posted since back in April.
Cambridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Philo, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Cambridge skirted past Philo 7-6 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Electrics have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
