The Innovation Academy The Red Tailed Hawk won the last time they faced the Pioneer Charter School of Science Panthers, and things went their way on Monday too. Innovation Academy walked away with a 53-44 victory over Pioneer Charter School of Science. The win made it back-to-back wins for Innovation Academy.
Derrick Twum continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. Twum is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Horace, who scored 11 points.
Innovation Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Pioneer Charter School of Science, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Innovation Academy will square off against Prospect Hill Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pioneer Charter School of Science will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th.
