Johnson Creek is a perfect 10-0 against Williams Bay since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bluejays will head out to challenge the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Johnson Creek will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
While Johnson Creek's victory against Markesan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bluejays had just enough and edged out the Hornets 6-5 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluejays have posted since April 5th.

Tori Buglass made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lainey Benz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Libby Burbach was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one double.
Johnson Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Williams Bay played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. They blew past Parkview 15-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Like Johnson Creek, Williams Bay also got a great game from a two-way player: Sarena Brown. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kalie Stanek, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Stanek is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Mckean, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Johnson Creek's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Williams Bay, their record now sits at 3-11.
Everything went Johnson Creek's way against Williams Bay in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Johnson Creek made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Bluejays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
