The Caroline Cavaliers were the 69-53 winner over the Chancellor Chargers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Caroline received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 65-49 to the Chargers.
Chancellor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals. Brown also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Ja?Den Mckoy, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Caroline now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Chancellor, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caroline has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Culpeper County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Chancellor, they will be playing at home against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Spotsylvania is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
