After flying high against Portsmouth Christian  last Thursday, Greenbrier Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Gators lost  3-0 to the StoneBridge Cavaliers on Tuesday. The Gators' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18,  25-12.
 Sarah Saunders paced Greenbrier Christian Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Saunders got some help from  Hannah Hess and her eight assists. Hess was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
 StoneBridge was led to victory by  Libbie Plumlee and  Selah Telfer.  Plumlee  had nine  digs and two  aces, while  Telfer  had five  digs and two  aces. Telfer has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 25 times she's  played.
The  loss was their first  on the road , dropping their record down to 17-8-1. As for StoneBridge, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 30-0.
 Greenbrier Christian Academy and StoneBridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Gators will  face off against  Hampton Christian Academy  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday with a big rank  advantage  (111 vs. 362). Meanwhile,  StoneBridge (ranked fifth) will meet Atlantic Shores Christian (ranked 238th)  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
