This season hasn't been kind to The Glenbard North Panthers, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were beaten by Batavia 41-7 on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Glenbard North in their matchups with Batavia: they've now lost eight in a row.
Ryan Boe got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 360 yards and six touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Cj Valente did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 86 receiving yards.
Glenbard North's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.4 points per game. As for Batavia, the victory was the seventh in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Glenbard North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Batavia will be playing at home against Brother Rice at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brother Rice is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
