The Villa Rica Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 32-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson. Villa Rica lost against Jackson in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 34-23 score last time.
Despite the loss, Villa Rica still got an impressive performance from Jaiden Terry, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown.
Jackson can attribute much of their success to Rashad Harp, who threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jaquavious Lewis also helped out with an impressive 123 receiving yards.
Villa Rica's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
Villa Rica will be playing in front of their home fans against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Jackson, they will face off against Tri-Cities at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Cities is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
