The Meridian Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They took their  game on the road  with ease, bagging a  56-23 win over Hampton. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory Meridian has managed all season.
 Leading Meridian to victory were  Jaala Stewart and  Ana Dimas.  Stewart  scored 14 points along with five  assists and five  steals, while  Dimas  scored 15 points along with nine  steals and five  assists. Those nine  steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was  Kendall Filipi, who  scored nine points.
 Hampton's loss  came despite strong showings from  Gavin Gilmore and  Nevaeh Lukassen.  Gilmore  scored nine points along with 12  rebounds and three  steals, while  Lukassen  scored nine points along with six  rebounds and four  blocks. Lukassen scored a full 39.1% of Hampton's points, the seventh time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sophia Schulze, who  scored four points along with five  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Meridian's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hampton,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will be home for the holidays to greet  Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. Hampton will be home for the holidays to greet  Lawrence-Nelson at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Lawrence-Nelson is coming into the  contest on a three-game losing streak.
