Despite the defeat, Pine Crest saw an underclassman step up: Rowan Hoffman scored 11 points. Joseph Teich was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Archbishop McCarthy was led to victory by Enrique Duboy and Guy Twitty. Duboy scored 16 points, while Twitty scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was Twitty's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Segovia , who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Pine Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Archbishop McCarthy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
