The Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars will face off against the Columbia Coyotes at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Cities Prep will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
It was a proper cat-fight when Tri-Cities Prep took on White Swan on Tuesday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 28-2 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Jaguars have won six matchups by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Grace Baerlocher and Catalina Roach did most of the damage at the plate: Baerlocher got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, six RBI, and three runs, while Roach got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave Baerlocher a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Vincent, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Tri-Cities Prep hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Columbia couldn't beat Liberty Christian on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Coyotes lost 25-7 to the Patriots. The Coyotes have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Sofia Ortega was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Ivy Carter was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Tri-Cities Prep, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tri-Cities Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .657. However, it's not like Columbia struggles in that department as they've averaged .550. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
