Victoria Soto has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Our Lady of Tepeyac 41-10 on the road.
Meanwhile, Juarez had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 48-35 win over South Shore International last Friday. The win was just what Juarez needed coming off of a 74-30 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Juarez to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yasmin Hernandez , who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Emily Flores was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Victoria Soto is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Juarez, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
