North Moore is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Buccaneers a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The North Moore Mustangs will take on the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, North Moore came up short against the Jets and fell 44-36.
The match pitted two dominant players against one another in Colby Pennington and Brennen Oldham. Oldham had a solid game and scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals. Meanwhile, Pennington did his best for the losing side, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Bartlett Yancey were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-23 loss at the hands of Northwood. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bartlett Yancey has scored all season.
Matthew Sidney put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for ten straight games.
North Moore has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Bartlett Yancey, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
North Moore came up short against the Buccaneers in their previous matchup back in January, falling 65-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bartlett Yancey's Kentrell Willis, who scored 31 points along with three steals.
