Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Laurel Locomotives, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 24-17 to Corvallis on Saturday. Laurel's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Corvallis got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aydan Mayn out in front who threw for 300 yards and a touchdown. Corvallis also got help from Gideon Boswell who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Corvallis, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Laurel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Corvallis will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Columbia Falls at 1:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Columbia Falls is ranked third, while Corvallis is ranked fourth).
