 In other batting news,  Issac Frias was  excellent,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with three  runs. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Josue Rojas was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Morris  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .625. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Morris' victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-6. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mott Haven,  they are  on  a  20-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
Morris will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mavericks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
