Leading Arrupe Jesuit to victory were Xavier Martinez and Ari Cowans. Martinez scored 16 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, while Cowans scored 30 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Martinez scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Oscar Padilla, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals.
Arrupe Jesuit's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for Lake County, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arrupe Jesuit will take on KIPP Denver Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
