After a string of six wins, the Mansfield Christian Flames's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 63-53 to Northmor. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mansfield Christian has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northmor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grant Bentley, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The contest was Bentley's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Hammond, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Mansfield Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for Northmor, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Mansfield Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Lucas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northmor, they will head out on the road to face off against Crestline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestline is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
